Wow, this week went by fast! I'm so glad it was Friday... I got up this morning and had no internet connection. The DSL was down as was the dialup. When they hadn't brought it back online by 10AM the boss made me open an AOL account. Ack!! That is so wrong on so many levels. No offense to those of you who use it and like it but geez... it's slow and painful and annoying. In my hurry to get signed up and online, I skipped past the screen that I think let's you choose to use an already existing AIM screenname so I had to pick a new name. Of course the name I wanted was already taken.. by me for my AIM account. My next five choices were taken so I tried LisaSavely and that worked. That's another thing that's wrong with it... my first use of "Lisa Savely" should not be in any way related to AOL.
I mowed the front yard tonight with the push mower and realized halfway through that our front yard is even bigger than it looks. More exercise than I had intended. The yard always looks so nice when it's freshly shorn and weed-eated. Tomorrow we are going to clean out the garage and organize everything that just got shoved in it in the final phase of the move. I bought Todd a chocolate french silk pie today and told him by the time I finished working his butt off this weekend, he'd need all the nutrition he could get : )
I had to make a decision regarding my cat this morning. Since we've moved, he's torn a curtain, knocked over lamps, thrown up on the carpet, etc. I have always kept him inside since our old house was on a busy road and I'd had cats get ran over there in the past. The traffic isn't near as heavy at the new house so I've been trying to decide whether to throw him outside or have him declawed. Yesterday when he tore the curtain I called the vet to see when they'd be able to declaw him. They can't do it until Wednesday. Well, he was tearing the heck out of stuff again this morning so out he went. He's been neutered but I don't think he knows that. A little female has been hanging around here and it drives him crazy. Now he can get to her and claw something other than furniture.
