Christopher just walked through in his bare feet and I noticed his toenail was beet red around the base. Thinking it was bleeding, I inquired "What happened to your toe?" to which he replied with a scowl, "Emily painted it. She said "I'll just do one" so I let her. Part of your 'give in to girls thing'. Thank you very much!!"

No, let's thank Emily for being around to help me teach boys that it's okay to let a girl paint your toenail - if that's what makes her happy. Oh To-odddd.... I have a lovely shade of lavendar that would look smashing with your gray sock... the one with the hole in the big toe. hehehe

Good thing it snowed today... and continues to snow. I am in one big ol' pissy mood and I hate to think what it would be like if the snow didn't temper it a little. Today seemed like someone had decided it was 'poke Lisa with a pointy stick day' and failed to inform me of it.

Oh yeah, as I'm typing this a Microsoft Security Bulletin arrived in my mail box. More work for me. Yuppers, it's been one of those days.

I stopped in Casey's tonight and saw a donation can on the counter. Normally I don't give much thought to those cans but this one was different. It said it was for a boy who had been badly burned. I don't know the boy but his parents were classmates of mine. I looked down at Christopher and wondered what it would be like if he were burned. I can't even begin to imagine. I almost fell apart when C. had to have a few stitches in his finger last year. That was over and done with in less than an hour. But a severe burn... that's months of painful therapy. I just can't imagine what the parents are feeling. If I had a million dollars, and if a million dollars would spare someone that pain, I'd put it all in the can.

Someone *cough* installed this in front of our house last night/early this morning. The maid loves it.
